1 Introduction
Thin fingerboard thickness and its width and length compared to the much smaller plate. Its lateral bending ability is poor, and it is not suitable for the occasion of lateral bending load. Thin plate is a metal for its material, but because of its small thickness, the processing technology of thin plate members has its particularity. There are three kinds of processing technology related to thin plate components: (1) blanking: it includes cutting and blanking. (2) forming: it consists of bending, folding, winding and deep drawing. (3) connection: it includes welding, bonding, etc. The structural design of thin plate components should take into account the requirements and characteristics of the processing technology. In addition, we should pay attention to the size of the component.
Thin plates are widely used because the thin plates have the following advantages:
(1) easy to deform, so that many forms of components can be made by simple processing technology.
(2) thin plate components are light weight.
(3) small amount of processing, because of the high quality of the surface of the plate, the small tolerance of the thickness direction, and the surface of the plate do not need to be processed.
(4) it is easy to cut and weld, and can make large and complex components.
(5) shape standard, convenient for automatic processing.
